Town Government
The Millinocket Town Council convened on Friday, June 20, 2026, with Chair Sarah Jenkins presiding. Fire & EMS
The Millinocket Fire Department and EMS crews responded to 18 calls for service over the past week. On June 19, crews were dispatched to a brush fire in a wooded area off Medway Road. The fire, which affected approximately half an acre, was quickly brought under control with mutual aid assistance from the Medway Fire Department. No structures were threatened. On June 25, EMS personnel responded to a medical emergency on Pond Street, transporting an individual to Millinocket Regional Hospital for further medical attention.
Real Estate
The Penobscot County Registry of Deeds recorded several property transactions in Millinocket this week. A single-family home at 12 Birch Street, featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms, sold for $195,000. A commercial lot located at 25 Main Street, previously a retail establishment, was purchased for $110,000, indicating potential for new development. A rustic cabin on Maplewood Lane, offering seasonal access and views of Mount Katahdin, changed hands for $85,000. Additionally, a two-unit residential property at 7 Cedar Street sold for $220,000.
