Website analytics: We use GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics tool self-hosted at stats.municipalalpha.com. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not track individual visitors. We see aggregate page view counts and referrer sources only.

Contact form submissions: If you email us or request a data sample, we collect the email address and name you provide. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and deliver requested materials.

What We Don't Collect

• No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel)
• No advertising networks
• No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking

Public Records Data

Our data products are derived from publicly available government documents. We do not collect personal information about private citizens beyond what appears in public government records (e.g., property owner names in public tax rolls, business names in accounts payable warrants). All source documents are published by municipal governments for public consumption or obtained through formal FOAA/FOIA records requests.
